The past glories of Cluny, today a town of more than 5000 people, attract many visitors every year. It is home to multitude of unique treasures and vestiges of the past. Strolling through the streets of the old town you’ll discover some of its 150 medieval houses or visit the museum of art and archeology, which features a model that helps to understand the town of the past in relation to its present-day counterpart.


Attracetd by Cluny’s rich historical past and its many current delights, Claire Matrat moved there 30 years ago in order to become a guide-lecturer and share her passion for old stones with visitors.
